Washington, DC – Former U.S. Rep. Tom Graves, President and CEO of Ervin Graves Strategy Group, announced today that Thomas Karalus joined the firm as a Research Associate.

“Thomas’s background in economic policy and financial regulation makes him a strong addition to our team,” said Graves. “His experience across government and political environments will be an asset to our clients.”

Karalus is completing a degree in Economics at George Washington University, with minors in Statistics and Political Science. He previously interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, where he focused on financial regulation and supported congressional and interagency engagement. He also interned at the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Economic Policy and at the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Karalus brings experience across regulatory, economic, and political environments to his work.

“I’m excited to join the Ervin Graves team and contribute my background in federal policy to clients in the defense and cybersecurity sectors,” said Karalus. “This role presents a valuable opportunity to support our clients while engaging directly with these priorities.”
