Ervin Graves Lands Naval Veteran and Defense Leader
Mark Burns named Senior Vice President to the Government Relations Practice
Washington, DC – Former U.S. Rep. Tom Graves, the President and CEO of Ervin Graves Strategy Group, today announced that Mark Burns, a 27 year Naval veteran joined the firm as a Senior Vice President to lead the Defense, Aerospace and Cyber Security practice area.
“Mark’s experience, both in the U.S. Navy and on Capitol Hill, along with his relationships at the Defense Department and knowledge of the innerworkings of the Pentagon budgets will be an added benefit to our clients while strengthening our defense practice area,” said Tom.
Mark spent nearly three decades specializing in aviation, installation/infrastructure management, and strategic communication for the United States Navy. Before joining Ervin Graves, he commanded Naval Support Activity Washington, overseeing all Navy Installations in the National Capital Region.
Additionally, Mark served as a Senate Liaison in the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs on Capitol Hill, escorting Congressional Delegations worldwide, and is known for his ability to navigate complex environments and drive legislative change.
Mark is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
