Former Cabinet Secretary And Congressional Chief Of Staff Joins Ervin Graves

Scott Hommel named Vice President to the Government Relations Practice

WASHINGTON, DC – Ervin Graves Strategy Group announced today that Scott Hommel, a former Cabinet Secretary and Congressional Chief of Staff, has joined Ervin Graves as a Vice President in the Energy, Environment and Mining Practice Area of the Government Relations practice.

“Scott’s deep-rooted background in energy, and natural resources will enhance our practice as well as expand our expertise in the energy, mining and precious minerals sector,” said former U.S. Representative Tom Graves, President and CEO of Ervin Graves.

Having held senior-level positions in state and federal government, political operations, and a national non-profit, Hommel will draw on 25 years of experience and relationships to support a wide range of routine and complex issues.

Hommel recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and temporarily as the acting Chief Executive Officer of America250, the national non-profit partner to the United States Semiquincentennial Commission established by Congress to plan and commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Before America250, Hommel was the Chief of Staff to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, a presidential appointment, and as Chief of Staff to Congressman Zinke.  He worked at the National Guard Association of the United States and served as a top civilian aide to the Adjutant General, State of New York.  Hommel is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served time in the New York Army National Guard.
