Scott is a government and public affairs professional with a diverse background spanning defense, homeland security, natural resources, and recreation. Having held senior level positions in state and federal government, political operations and a national non-profit, Scott is able to draw on 25 years of experience and support a wide range of routine and complex issues.
Scott recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and temporarily as the acting Chief Executive Officer of America250, the national non-profit partner to the United States Semiquincentennial Commission established by Congress to plan and commemorate the 250 year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Prior to America250, Scott was the Chief of Staff to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, a presidential appointment and as Chief of Staff to Congressman Zinke. Scott worked at the National Guard Association of the United States and served as a top civilian aide to the Adjutant General, State of New York. Scott is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and served time in the New York Army National Guard.
